CKR Members compete at Spring Sprints

The Great Lakes Region held their first regional event with the running of the Spring Sprints at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI. Three CKR members competed. Spencer Rutherford competed in Spec Miata and placed 11th and 15th in a strong field. Jared Smith competed in the 1st and 2nd round of the Hoosier Tire US Formula First Series finishing in 2nd place on Saturday and finishing 1st on Sunday after qualifying on pole and setting a new class track record. Win Smith picked up two wins in the GTA class and also set a new GTA class track record on Sunday.

Yes, Jared Smith, Win Smith and Spencer Rutherford are all on the entry list for NCM. Looking forward to racing close to home for once.

I just now saw this thanks for the shout out although that wasn't a very good race for me since I got punted off the first turn and went to dead last. the car was overheating really bad also. Look for me representing Kentucky at run offs
